The Society of St. Vincent de Paul USA harnesses the power of community and partnerships to feed, clothe, house and heal individuals and families in our community who have nowhere else to turn for help. Our volunteer members – known as Vincentians – are women and men who are compelled by our Catholic Christian faith to serve those who are needy and suffering.
From rental assistance and homelessness prevention, to thrift stores and food pantries, to disaster recovery and charitable pharmacies, we share our time and treasure with those who need help and hope. We believe EVERYONE deserves a fair chance at a bright future, regardless of income or life circumstances.
The San Ysidro Conference of the St. Vincent de Paul Society meets on the second Thursday of the month at 7:30 p.m. in Hendren Hall. In addition, a spiritual meeting is held on the fourth Thursday starting with 7:30 a.m. Mass followed by breakfast. (During these pandemic months the meetings are virtual.)
Parishioners’ financial donations make SVdP’s work possible. The conference’s monthly collection on the first Sunday is used to help those in need — with assistance for items such as utilities, rent and food — within the Corrales community. SVdP also relies on the generosity of parishioners in sponsoring a special food collection at Christmas.
Parishioners who would like to receive information and/or to join the San Ysidro Conference of St. Vincent de Paul are asked to contact Tim Coder at (505) 681-4253.
